The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, concluded a visit to Hungary this week.
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church visited several cathedrals and monasteries in the central European country. He also met with members of the country’s Parliament and inaugurated Budapest’s Ecclesiastical Museum.
In a statement, the Serbian Patriarch referred to the good and friendly relations between neighbors Serbia and Hungary, while promising to continue support for the Orthodox Christians in the country.
The number of Orthodox faithful in Hungary only comprise 0.1 percent of the population.
