The Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Irinej, presided at a Divine Liturgy at the Ružica Cathedral within the Belgrade Fortress, on the Feast Day of St. Paraskevi, which the Serbian Church commemorates based on the Julian liturgical calendar.
The Patriarch noted that “… This Church is a place of prayer and repentance. It is a cathedral of awakened souls, who search for the Lord. This place of worship is a place where tears of repentance are shed.“
