Shocking figures continue to emerge over the now systematic and growing maltreatment of Christians worldwide, often in the form of mass persecution.
A survey by a journalists’ group at the Orthodoxia news agency shows a “silent genocide” underway in many parts of the world, after mining and analyzing information by international organizations and news portals, such Open doors, CNN, Komo, Ccp, China Aid and iellada.gr
One in four Christians today suffers some form of discrimination based on religious affiliation, while reports are numerous of “ethnic cleansing”, kidnappings, rapes, discriminatory taxation, arson and even death.
The most egregious reports of persecution of Christians – both institutional and by religious extremists – are from sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, south Asia and in Oceania.
