Today marks the solemn one-year anniversary of the repose in the Lord of the Metropolitan of Kinshasa, Nikiforos, who passed away at the age of 72.
Interment was held at the Holy Hut of the Skete of the Lesser St. Anne, on the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos.
A memorial service for the repose of the soul of the late Metropolitan was held at the Holy Monastery of Athanasius the Athonite, where the Alexandria Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Katanga, His Eminence Meletios, spoke of His fraternal relations with the reposed hierarch and the virtues he lived by.
