The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, issued a solemn statement in the wake of a racially motivated shooting spree in east Buffalo, in upper New York state, which left 10 people dead, three wounded and the suspect in custody.
In a message posted on his official Twitter account, His Eminence noted that “…We mourn those senselessly lost in the horrific slaughter in Buffalo. Violent, race-based hatred is a long-seated cancer in America. While we pray for healing in the land, we must fight the racist ideology that breeds diseased minds that could do such evil.”
