The Agia Napa Monastery Archival Project

The “Saint Epifanios” Cultural Academy – Research Centre and the Diocese of Constantia and Ammochostos are conducting a research project aiming to the gathering, archiving, digitization and online accessibility of archival materials related to the history and activity of the Monastery of Agia Napa during the modern and contemporary periods.

The archival materials contribute to the wider effort to document, preserve and make accessible cultural and religious heritage materials. Through the study of the archival materials the Monastery of Agia Napa reveals its identity as a living monument, as a place of worship and as a space for social interaction throughout the years.

Individuals and organizations are invited to submit relevant material, including:


Information for submission of archival materials:
The owners of the analog or digital materials are required to sign an agreement for the use of the materials.

Materials submitted in analog form will be returned to their owners after digitization, unless otherwise agreed.

Owners reserve the intellectual rights of the submitted materials, unless otherwise agreed.
