His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia is participating in the new composition of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, for the period from 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026.
According to an official announcement, the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate has been reconstituted for the six-month term running from 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026.
Presided over by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Synod’s new composition is as follows:
