On Sunday, 28th September / 12th October 2025, the Patriarchate commemorated the memory of Venerable Kyriakos the Anchorite, fellow ascetic of Saint Chariton the Confessor, with a Divine Liturgy celebrated in the sacred chapel of the Shrine of Nazareth. The service was led by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Nazareth, Kyriakos, celebrating his name day, with the co-celebration of the Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod, Archimandrite Christodoulos, the Head of the Russian Spiritual Mission in the Holy Land (MISSIA), Archimandrite Vassianos, and the Priests of the Shrine. A pious congregation of faithful, honouring both the Saint and their Metropolitan, was in attendance, in the presence of the Ambassador of Greece to Tel Aviv, Ms Maya Solomon, and the Consul of the Greek General Consulate, Ms Anna Mantika.
Around midday, His Eminence Metropolitan Kyriakos of Nazareth hosted a luncheon. This was honoured by the presence of His Beatitude, our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos, together with His Eminence Metropolitan Isychios of Kapitolias, and the Elder Chief Secretary, His Eminence Archbishop Aristarchos of Constantina, as well as Archimandrite Christodoulos, the Priests, and members of the flock of Nazareth.
