His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and His Beatitude Archbishop Joani of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania attended prayerfully the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, 16 August, at the Metropolitan Church of the Panagia. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrillos of Imbros and Tenedos.
The two Primates, accompanied by the local Metropolitan, then travelled to the mountain village of Agridia. At the village cemetery, His All-Holiness conducted a Trisagion at the grave of the late Metropolitan Kyrillos of Moschonisia, formerly of Imbros and Tenedos, for the repose of his soul. He also commemorated all the other Hierarchs who had served as Shepherds of Imbros and Tenedos, as well as the late Hierarchs of Imbrian origin.
At noon, in the same village, they attended a farewell luncheon held in honour of the Archbishop of Albania, whom His All-Holiness once again thanked for his presence at all the festal celebrations on Imbros.
That afternoon, the Primate of the Church of Albania departed with his honourable entourage for Constantinople, from where he would travel to Tirana, Albania.
