On the feast of Saint Germanos, Archbishop of Constantinople (715–730 AD), His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited the Holy Monastery of Baloukli and conducted a Trisagion (Memorial Service) before the grave of one of his predecessors, Ecumenical Patriarch Germanos IV, founder of the Holy Theological School of Halki (1844). He also offered prayers for the repose of the souls of Patriarch Germanos V, who rests in Chalcedon, the hierarchs of the Throne bearing the same name from the Metropolises of Sardis and Pisidia, Ainos, Theodoroupolis, and Tranoupolis, as well as the ever-memorable Grand Ecclesiarch Germanos (Andreadou).
