On Sunday, 10th/23rd February 2025, Sunday of the Meatfare, the feast of Saint Hieromartyr Haralambos was celebrated by the Patriarchate at his Holy Monastery, located at the final Station of the Via Dolorosa, near the Church of the Resurrection.

Saint Haralambos was a Priest of the Christians in Magnesia, gentle, gracious, and full of Divine Grace, through which he performed spiritual gifts and healings for the faithful. He contested for Christ into great age, reaching perfection through torture and beheading under the reign of Emperor Septimius Severus in 198 AD.

For this feast, Vespers was celebrated in the evening and the Divine Liturgy in the morning at his Holy Monastery in the Old City of Jerusalem. His Eminence, Archbishop Theophanes of Gerash, presided over the services, with the Archimandrites Christodoulos and Claudius, the celebrant Arabic-speaking Presbyter Farah, Fr Nektarios, Archdeacon Mark, and others, with the chanting of Hierodeacon Dositheos and the students of the Patriarchal School of Sion, and the participation of a large congregation of monks, nuns, and local pilgrims.

During the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude, the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos, arrived with the Holy Sepulchre Fathers for veneration.

After the Divine Liturgy, the Hegumen Archimandrite Kallistos received the Patriarchal and Archiepiscopal entourage at the Hegumen’s quarters and all guests in the courtyard of the Holy Monastery.
