His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is paying a private visit to Halicarnassus (Bodrum) in Asia Minor, visited the historic Church of Saint Nicholas on Wednesday, 26 August. Built in 1780, the church is located in the centre of the city.
His All-Holiness was received at the Town Hall by the Mayor of Bodrum, Mr Tamer Mandalinci, who subsequently accompanied him to the historic church. There, the Ecumenical Patriarch was briefed on site about the restoration works currently under way.
