On Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, after celebrating Orthros and Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America elevated the Rev. Fr. Nicholas Pilavas to Protopresbyter, thanking him for his 45 years of service to Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church in Yonkers, NY. His Eminence received a warm welcome from the community. The dedicatory plaque on the new Rev. Protopresbyter Nicholas Pilavas Community Center was unveiled after the Divine Liturgy in the company of Rev. Protopresbyter Nicholas’s family and friends.
