The Russian Orthodox Church reiterated its volition to establish a robust presence in SE Asia, and specifically in areas where Christianity is under persecution.
A Russian professor and close associate of the Russian Patriarchate said the Moscow Church wants to establish national Churches in the region, and not copies of the Russian Orthodox Church – while adding that the goal is to ordain clerics from the region’s countries.
