The Synaxis of the Holy Fathers of Vatopedi was celebrated with Byzantine grandeur on Wednesday, 23 July 2025, at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos.
The festive Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Zografou, Elder Gabriel, who was joined by the Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim, as well as by priests of Mount Athos and from various Holy Metropolises.
The sacred hymns were melodiously rendered by two choirs of chanters: on the right, fathers from the Holy Monastery of Karakallou and on the left, Vatopedi fathers under the direction of the choirmaster of the Greek Byzantine Choir, Mr. Georgios Konstantinou.
After the Divine Liturgy, a festive meal was served to all those present, in a climate of fraternal joy and spiritual gladness.
