A national union of theologians has addressed an open letter to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos II, as well as to the education ministry, requesting clarifications over what the two sides have ostensibly agreed to, with regards the lesson of religion in primary and secondary schools.
In a statement to the press, the union’s president, Iraklis Rerakis, asked to learn when the Holy Synod decided to approve the prospect of a multi-faith curriculum being taught in Greek schools without the group knowing anything.
