The Thursday of Bright Week, or Renewal Week, the first week following Easter Sunday, was celebrated on the Feast Day of the Zoodochos Pigis (or Holy Water) cathedral in the Sikies parish of Arta, in northwest Greece.
The great vespers were presided by the Metropolitan of Arta, His Eminence Kallinikos.
The Thursday of Bright Week was also commemorated at the Cathedral of the Panaghia Kamariotissa on the northeast Aegean island of Samothrace, with the Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis, His Eminence Anthimos, presiding.
The Holy Icon of our Lady of Kamariotissa was then carried in a litany procession through the streets of the island’s capital.
