Last Sunday, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane presided over the Matins service and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the church of Saint Paraskevi in Taigum, Brisbane.
His Grace Bishop Bartholomew was assisted by Father Panagiotis Simos, the Assistant Priest of the Parish of the Dormition of Our Lady, in Mt Gravatt.
With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and All Oceania, His Grace tonsured Mr Panagiotis Kosmatos as a Reader, a much respected and pious parishioner of Saint Paraskevi.
Bishop Bartholomew spoke about the importance of worship and glorifying Christ and the dedication, and commitment Mr Kosmatos has towards the chanting stand.
Moreover, His Grace commended Mr Kosmatos on his obedience to his Archbishop, to his Bishop and the Priests, and encouraged him to continue with the same obedience, love and commitment for the Church.
