Two Church of Crete hierarchs, the Metropolitan of Petra and Hersonnisos, His Eminence Gerassimos, and the Metropolitan of Ierapytnis and Siteia, His Eminence Kyrillos, paid a courtesy visit to new Shipping & Island Policy Minister Yannis Plakiotakis at the ministry in Piraeus.
Plakiotakis is elected to Parliament from an election district in eastern Crete.
On his part, the minister promised the Church of Crete Metropolitans that he will support efforts to resolve whatever problems faced by the Metropolises and in promotion of the island Greek island.
