Members of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod will convene this week for three days, until Wednesday, for their regular assembly during the month of February. According to a communique by the Holy Synod, administrative issues will be on the agenda.
In a related development, the patron saint of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, St. Photios, Patriarch of Constantinople, was celebrated over the weekend with a Vespers, Orthros and Divine Liturgy at the Holy Monastery of Petraki, due north of Athens, following a synodal decision. The Metropolitan of Thaumakos His Grace Iakovos, the Abbot of the Monastery, officiated at the services.
