A video tour of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Virgin Mary (Pantovassilissa) at Rafina, in the eastern Attica harbor town of the same name, due east of Athens, was posted this weekend on the Orthodoxia news agency’s web pages.
The Cathedral hosts a Holy relic carried by ethnic Greek refugees in 1922 from the Trigleia settlement of Bythinia, the Medieval name of a province in extreme northwest Asia Minor.
Many of the Greek refugees from the Marmara Sea Trigleia township resettled in the Rafina district after the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
