The Board of Directors of the Holy Association of Clergy of Greece, following a unanimous decision, visited His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Phanar on Tuesday, 12 May. The Board received a warm and paternal welcome from His All-Holiness, especially significant as it was the first time that the Board had visited the venerable Centre of Orthodoxy.
In his address, the President the Holy Association of Clergy of Greece, Protopresbyter Georgios Sellis, expressed the joy and gratitude of the Holy Association for the warm hospitality extended to them and assured His All-Holiness that the serving clergy of Greece would always stand by the sacred institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Both His All-Holiness and the President the Holy Association of Clergy of Greece, emphasised the role and importance of the priest within a world that is constantly changing.
Having received the Patriarchal wishes and blessings of His All-Holiness for its members, their families, and the local Metropolitans under whom they minister, the Board the Holy Association of Clergy of Greece then visited with emotion the sacred monuments and pilgrimage sites of Constantinople and of the Nation.
