On Monday, 17th/30th June 2025, His Beatitude was visited by the Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem (MISSIA), Archimandrite Vassianos, accompanied by Archimandrite Nikon and the nun Seraphima. He invited His Beatitude to attend the upcoming Feast of the Nativity of the Forerunner at the Russian Monastery of the Nativity of the Forerunner in Gorny, congratulated Him on the fiftieth anniversary of His priesthood, and presented Him with a letter of thanks for the Patriarchate’s stance regarding the Russian Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky near the Holy Sepulchre.
