Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday received visiting Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, at the former’s Maximos Mansion office.
Talks focused on the Archdiocese of Australia’s presence, works and spiritual guidance on the island continent for the Orthodox faithful, as well as the Church’s notable charitable activity and its role in preserving ties with the homeland.
Among others, Mitsotakis noted that Greeks living abroad will have the opportunity to vote in the upcoming May 21 election in Greece from their place of residence, for the first time.
