In a related Greek news development, the chief of staff of the country’s armed forces, Gen. Konstantinos Floros, on Monday received Konstantinos Varsamis, the District Governor  of the local chapter of the American Hellenic Educational and Progressive Association, better known as AHEPA. AHEPA is the oldest and most influential Greek-American organization.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Israel on Monday for talks with Israeli leadership, including his counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu. Issues dealing with the ongoing Covid-19 virus were discussed. The Greek premier will first visit the island republic of Cyprus, where he will be received by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.
