The Pskov-Caves Monastery in northwest Russia has inaugurated a new indoor gymnasium, which follows the opening of a model playground and outdoor sports courts for the area’s youth. The new venue features basketball courts, a shooting range, a gymnastics arena and ping pong tables.
The historic Cathedral of St. Athanasius at the Arbanasi site, in the Veliko Tarnovo municipality, has reopened after 70 years. The Cathedral was built in 1667, with many of the ecclesiastical frescoes adorning its walls attributed to a Greek hagiographer.
