Conservation works on 40 frescoes, dating to the 19th century, were completed recently at the Cathedral of the Resurrection, a historic Orthodox Church in Moscow built  in 17th century.

Renovation works began this month to transform a Monastery in the Aghia Napa region of Cyprus into a museum. The works are expected to be completed in May 2020, and until then, Church services will be held at the Monastery.

A group of pupils from the central Greece city of Karditsa recently visited the Patriarchate of Romania, in Bucharest, according to the Basilica news agency. The group of pupils and their teachers were received by the Bishop of Ploiești, His Grace Varlaam, and members of an association representing the Romanian Patriarchate’s chanters.

A round-table discussion took place in Moscow this week on the issue of Christians’ role in peace efforts to defuse global and regional conflicts.
