Some 2,000 people in India will be baptized into the Christian Orthodox faith, including 47 Protestant pastors. Russian Orthodox clerics from the United States, Canada and Russia have travelled to the Indian subcontinent for the religious rite. The number of Orthodox faithful in India is currently estimated at more than 100,000.
