Archimandrite Tychicos elected as new Metropolitan of Paphos by Church of Cyprus’ Holy Synod
The Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Church of Nova Justiniana & All Cyprus on Thursday elected Archimandrite Tychicos Vryonis as the new Metropolitan of Paphos. The newly elected Metropolitan had received a hair above 50 percent of the vote in a lay election last week of hierarch candidates for the vacant throne of Paphos.
