Veneration of St. Paraskevi today
The Church today venerates the memory of St. Paraskevi, considered by Orthodoxy as a healer of the blind and those afflicted with related ailments, because of the miracle she performed in restoring the sight of her tormentor, the Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius.
