A relic of St. Basil the Great, the early Church Archbishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia, Asia Minor, was conveyed by the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod on Thursday evening to the Cathedral of St. Paraskevi, in the northeast city of Komotini, on the occasion of Friday’s Feast Day.

A celebratory Divine Liturgy was held in the evening, presided by the Bishop of Northern France, His Grace Irineos.

A Great Procession of the Holy Relic was then held through the city’s main streets.
