Bulgarian Patriarch receives visiting president of Cyprus’ House of Representatives

The Patriarch of Bulgaria, His Holiness Neophyte, this week received Demetris Syllouris, the president of Cyprus’ House of Representatives, in Sofia. The latter is on an official visit to the country.
The Bulgarian Patriarch expressed his satisfaction over the brotherly relations between the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Cyprus.

In another Cyprus-related item, the Bishop of Arsinoi, His Grace Nektarios, has been unanimously elected by members of the Church of Cyprus’ Holy Synod as the new Metropolitan of Kitiou, on the island republic.
