Feature on Elder Chrysostomos, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of St. Gerasimos of the Jordan

A feature is posted today on the Orthodoxia News Agency on the life and work of the Elder Chrysostomos, the Abbot of the Monastery St. Gerasimos of the Jordan. The Elder Chrysostomos has worked tirelessly to protect the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem’s possession, and, with the blessing of God, to create an oasis for pilgrims and visitors.

The Elder Chrysostomos faithfully cared for the Elder Gerasimos, the Abbot of the Monastery of Sarantarion (or Mount of Temptation), until the latter reposed in the Lord this week.

The Abbot of St. Gerasimos of the Jordan spoke to journalist Maria Giachnaki, where he recounts the difficult conditions under which monastic life and works are fulfilled at the monastery.
