Enthronement of new Metropolitan of Kitiou
The new Metropolitan of Kitiou, in his first statements after the enthronement, referred to the awe he feels when considering the very significant Church of Cyprus hierarchs that previously held the same ecclesiastical throne.
He added, “… we will reinforce every effort by the (island republic’s) leadership in our land for the finding of a just solution to the problem of our country’s occupation by the Turkish invader”.
