Shocking UN figures regarding terror, persecution faced by Christians worldwide
The most recent figures released by the United Nations confirm the shocking persecution of young children in many places around the world, particularly young Christians.
For instance, since 2009, roughly 8,000 children in mostly northern and northeast Nigeria have been kidnapped by the jihadi terrorist group Boko Haram.
According to UNICEF, at least 117 of these kidnapped minors have been used as suicide bombers since 2017.
Christian communities in sub-Saharan Africa’s most populous country essentially live under conditions of sheer terror.
Numerous instances have been reported of home invasions, entire villages being burned to the ground, the systemic destruction of Churches and the mass abduction and rape of woman and girls.
The barbarism of Boko Haram reached new heights this month after reports and photographs emerged showing several women who had their ears chopped off, during an attack on a Christian village in northern Cameroon.
According to local media, islamist militants stormed the Christian village of Kalagari on July 29, taking eight women hostage and cutting off their ears before releasing them.
