Dep. FM Diamantaris meets with US Amb. to Greece Pyatt

The excellent level of Greek-American relations was ascertained in a meeting on Tuesday in Athens between Deputy FM Antonis Diamantaris, who holds the expatriate Greeks portfolio, as US ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt.

Discussions also touched on the role of newly enthroned Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros.

In a later Tweet on his personal account, the US ambassador noted:  “Great discussion with DFM for Greeks Abroad @AHDiamataris on the strategic significance of Greece, our people-to-people ties, and our cooperation with the Greek American diaspora community, a critical factor in deepening our bilateral relationship. @GreeceMFA“
