Patriarch John X Offers Condolences to Fairuz, the Rahbani Family, and Admirers Worldwide

“Ziad Rahbani is a loss to Lebanon—and to the world.”

His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, extended condolences to legendary singer Fairuz, the Rahbani family, and the wider community of admirers following the passing of composer and musician Ziad Rahbani.

Representing the patriarch at the funeral service was His Eminence Bishop Silouan Moussi, Metropolitan of Byblos, Batroun, and Dependencies, who conveyed the message of sympathy during the liturgy held in Mhaydseh, Mount Lebanon. The service drew a significant turnout of officials and citizens.
