Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Great Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos in Neochorion, on the Bosphorus (video)
On Sunday evening, 3 August 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew made his way to the Church of Panagia Koumariotissa, in Neochorion, on the Bosphorus, where he officiated during the service of the Great Supplicatory Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos, also proclaiming the beginning of this year’s many and varied cultural events, the “Theotokeia” of the Community of Neochorion, in light of the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos.
His All-Holiness was addressed by His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, Supervisor of the Bosphorus District, while the Ecumenical Patriarch responded appropriately.
