Greek Cabinet delegation received by Archbishop of America Elpidophoros this week

A delegation of Greek Cabinet ministers is visiting the United States this week, with the Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, receiving the group today at the Archdiocese of America’s seat in New York City.

Among others, Elpidophoros received Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Antonis Diamataris, who holds the expatriates and religious affairs portfolio.

Diamataris on Thursday had attended a blessing ceremony, officiated by the Archbishop, at the St. Demetrius parish’s Greek school, on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year.

Greece’s consul general in New York City, Konstantinos Koutras, also attended the blessing service. The Greek delegation also visited the William Spyropoulos School at the St. Nicholas Parish in Flushing, NY.
