His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, has greeted the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Antioch on the day of his heavenly patron – St. John the Theologian.

Your Beatitude, Beloved Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Altar:

I cordially greet you on the commemoration day of St. John, Christ’s Friend and Evangelist – your name day.

By consoling the peoples of the East in their time of trial, you bear witness to the Risen Saviour before those who are near and who are far, calling people to peace, accord and mutual understanding.

Through the intercession of your heavenly patron, may the Chief Pastor Christ help you in your further Primatial work and may He preserve you in physical strength and spiritual fortitude for many good years.

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), has sent a message of greeting to His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Great Antioch and All the East, on the occasion of his name day. The messages reads:

In carrying out your lofty service as Primate of the Orthodox Church of Antioch, you seek to rely in everything on God Who has called you to the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12). Inspired by the example of the virtuous life of Christ’s beloved disciple, you edify the people of God entrusted to your care in righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (1 Tim. 6:11).

Allow me to wish Your Beatitude good health, long life and beneficial help of God in performing your Primatial feat and in all your Primatial work and to wish well-being and prosperity to the Christ-loving flock of the Patriarchate of Antioch.
