On Wednesday, 7 January, at the Vatopedi Metochion of Saint Andrew in Galata, in the Constantinople, the Nativity according to the flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated with reverence, solemnity, and joy, according to the Julian Calendar.

The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Gregorios of Ankara and Protosyncellus of the Patriarchate, concelebrated by several priests.

Before the Dismissal, the presiding hierarch was appropriately addressed by the Dean of the Holy Church, to which His Eminence responded, referring to the essential and salvific meaning of this great feast of Christmas. At the same time, he conveyed the paternal wishes of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is also the shepherd of the Russian-speaking community.

Thereafter, a festive meal was offered to the entire congregation, which was blessed by His Eminence Metropolitan Gregorios.
