The Ecumenical Patriarch at the Service of Holy Unction
On Holy Wednesday, 8 April, in the afternoon, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, attended in prayer during the celebration of the Holy Sacrament of Holy Unction. Also present in prayer were His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra, Ambassador Mr Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, and a large number of faithful. On the morning of the same day, the Patriarch presided over the final Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts for Holy and Great Lent.
Furthermore, His All-Holiness presided at the Patriarchal Church during:
a) the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on the morning of Holy Monday, 6 April,
b) the Service of the Bridegroom on the evening of the same day,
c) the Service of the Bridegroom on the evening of Holy Tuesday.
At the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on the morning of Holy Tuesday, 7 April, the service was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia.
