Athens: Reception of the Ecumenical Patriarch by the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament
With due honour and religious reverence, the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, welcomed His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Monday at Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, who is undertaking an official visit to Greece.
Upon the arrival of His All-Holiness, the Speaker expressed the deep respect of the State and of the Greek Parliament for the person of the Primate of Orthodoxy, highlighting the decisive role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in preserving the spiritual unity and cultural heritage of Hellenism.
