The Archbishop of Albania met with the Minister of National Defence of Greece

On 25 May 2026, during his visit to Albania and his meetings with senior Albanian government representatives, the Greek Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikos Dendias, visited the Orthodox Cathedral of the “Resurrection of Christ”, where he was received by His Beatitude Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, with whom he held a meeting and discussion in a friendly atmosphere.

Mr Dendias then visited the tomb of the late Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, along with Archbishop Ioannis, paying tribute to his memory.
