Thessaloniki: The Feast of Pentecost at the Celebrating Cathedral of The Holy Wisdom of God
On Sunday, 31 May, His Eminence Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the festal Metropolitan Cathedral Church of The Holy Wisdom of God in Thessaloniki.
Praying in the sanctuary during the service was His Eminence Metropolitan Damaskinos of Velestino.
Following the conclusion of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, the Vespers of the Holy Spirit (Kneeling Vespers) was celebrated in accordance with the order of the Parish Typikon. Before the dismissal of the Vespers service, Metropolitan Philotheos delivered a homily to the large congregation of faithful gathered for the feast.
