Limassol: Festal Celebrations in honour of Saint Tychon, Bishop of Amathus
The feast of Saint Tychon, Bishop of Amathus, was celebrated with ecclesiastical splendour at the church dedicated to him in the community of Saint Tychon, Limassol.
At the festal Great Vespers, His Eminence Metropolitan Ioustinos of Nea Krini and Kalamaria presided, with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Nikolaos of Amathus.
A large number of clergy participated in the service, including Archimandrite Chrysostomos, Elder of the Cell of Saint John Chrysostom of the Koutloumousiou Skete on Mount Athos, and Archimandrite Isaac, Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Limassol.
Among those present were Mr Giannis Tsouloftas, President of the Limassol District Local Government Organisation (EOA), Mr Heracles Heracleous, Deputy Mayor of the community, and a large congregation of faithful.

At the conclusion of Vespers, His Grace elevated Fr Christodoulos Anaxagorou, parish priest of the church, to the rank of Protopresbyter. Following the service, clergy and faithful took part in a procession of the holy relic and sacred icon of the Saint through the streets of the community.
On the feast day itself, a festal concelebrated Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Ioustinos of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Nikolaos of Amathus.
