The Ecumenical Patriarch and the Holy and Sacred Synod in Saint-Bearing Selyvria
The historic city of Selyvria and the Holy Metropolis bearing its name had the great blessing and highest honour of welcoming His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, together with members of the Holy and Sacred Synod.
The local shepherd, His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, received His All-Holiness and the Holy Hierarchs at the Metropolitan Residence. They subsequently visited, with reverence and devotion, the site of the house of Saint Nektarios, Bishop of Pentapolis and Wonderworker, the holy offspring of Selyvria. They also visited the Acropolis of Selyvria (Kale Park), after which the Metropolitan hosted a dinner in their honour.
The local shepherd warmly thanked the venerable Head of Orthodoxy and the esteemed members of the Synod for this historic visit of support.
