Minister of Education Meets with Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East

Minister of Education Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Turko met with His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, alongside Dr. Nawar Najmeh, Member of Parliament, in a meeting that addressed the role of education in shaping individuals and society, while consolidating national and moral values.

The Minister of Education affirmed that the Ministry is committed to providing education to every Syrian child, with a focus not only on academic instruction but also on instilling positive values and behaviors among students. He noted that, this upcoming academic year, the Ministry will open activity halls in schools to help nurture students’ values and behavioral development.

For his part, the Patriarch appraised the Ministry’s role in building Syria’s education system, emphasizing the importance of science and education in forming individuals and reinforcing social cohesion.
