Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to mark 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence with Divine Liturgy
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the official declaration of Ukraine’s independence, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit the Church of Saint Nicholas of Tzivali on the morning of Monday, 24 August, at approximately 10 am, and will preside at the Divine Liturgy celebrated in the Ukrainian language. Constantinople’s Ukrainian-speaking community will also attend the Divine Liturgy.
At its conclusion, the Ecumenical Patriarch will offer a memorial prayer for the repose of the victims of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
A reception will follow.
