Metropolitan of Montenegro calls on govt there to stop tormenting Orthodox faithful

The Metropolitan-Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Amphilochios, again referred to the major struggle facing the Orthodox Church in the small Adriatic country and the continued persecution of the Church, its hierarchs and faithful by the current Montenegrin government.
His Eminence spoke from the cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, the country’s capital, calling on the Montenegrin authorities to stop tormenting the people and trying to destroy him, as he characteristically said. Amphilochios also said peaceful protests against a controversial law on religious institutions will resume next week.
